I've been a happy owner of two 74GB WD 10.000 RPM Raptor drives for a while, however because I didn't want to reinstall my XP, the drives have so far only been used to store my personal data.
During my upgrade to Vista, I - of course - chose to use one of the Raptors as my boot/system drive. I've always known this would make a difference, but I'm blown away by how responsive and snappy the system is, compared to my machine with a 7.200 RPM hard drive.

I'm a total multitasking geek, the more the merrier, and it's especially in such an enviroment the 10.000 RPM Raptor shines, delivering 2-4 times the performance of a "fat" 7.200 RPM standard harddrive.
But .. don't take my word for it - have a look at the numbers - and when you're done - Rush down to your local hardware store and grap a Raptor or two :-)
